Ah, I figured it out. It isn't a true "folksonomy" at all. It simply let's people easily find articles by the tags I use (as opposed to the categories). The problem is, none of my historical tags made it in the migration...so I either need to go back and add tags to old articles (not fun) or just use it going forward. We'll see if I get any time on my hands to add a tag or two per historical article...

Thanks Ian. It was quite a weekend...

Yeah, I need to look into the Folksonomy feature a bit more too. I'm not exactly certain which plugin that came with! I think it will ultimately allow other people to tag my articles if I get it working properly.

I like the new theme - clean a simple!

Not clear on how the "Folksonomy" archives work (are you supposed to be able to add your own tags?) and it would be better if the Date Archive was in reverse chron order.

Great start though - tinker away!

UPDATE: I’ve moved to a K2 theme but still have things pretty basic for now other than having loaded a new (still very simple) header. I think I may leave it simple like this, though I’d like to get rid of some of the icons associated with the theme. The only glitch I’ve found is that for some reason the “livesearch” searchbox built in with the K2 theme doesn’t seem to be working. I have a ticket in with the new wordpress bug tracking system.
