In fact, I will divulge that I majored in Mandarin Chinese in college because I was so very obsessed with Chinese culture as a results of Romance of the Three Kingdoms. So, yes, even years ago gaming was providing me with all sorts of "meta" experiences...again, another reason why I can't go near it now for fear of becoming completely enveloped!
